Kimarie Hosea | Author Biography
Kimarie Hosea is a writer and poet from the Commonwealth of Dominica who finds beauty in the intersection of culture and imagination. Though she has always been a writer, it was a life-changing experience in 2017 that reignited her dream of publishing. What began as a means of personal escape has blossomed into a prolific literary journey, encouraged by the support of her family and community.
An active member of Piton Noire and former member of Waitukubuli Writers, Kimarie’s work spans multiple genres and is deeply rooted in her Caribbean heritage. Her credits include Threshold of Courage (published in The Caribbean Writer, 2024), the Peter’s Pocket series in The Flying Crapaud, and the award-winning Creole poem Mwen Lévé.
Kimarie is the co-author of Riverdale: A Tale of Two Sarahs alongside her mentor, Kristine Simelda. Through her writing, she strives to amplify the resilient voices of her community and invite readers to explore the vibrant tapestry of the Caribbean spirit.
